Just checking here, but in⋅flu⋅en⋅tial is defined as “having or exerting influence, a person who exerts or can exert strong influence.” And in⋅flu⋅ence is defined as “the action or process of producing effects on the actions, behavior, opinions, etc., of another or others.” So don’t you have to have “another or others” visiting your site to be influential? It is clear Chad is under the influence but it is clearly not the influence of another or others.

Think of any Republican living or dead. Type their name with Obama’s into any image search engine. How many do you find with Obama having a big grin and a real bear hug? Would this indicate that some Americans are viewed less favorably than repressive tyrants who steal elections and then use the instruments of government to silence their opposition and hand out confiscated properties of the opposition to their supporters? No, that can’t be.

I got it right from the “people’s campaign” part.

The raw numbers are off (significantly low as far as my blog is concerned) but the trends are about right.

Election season was very, very good for business.

I actually think that the NorthDecoder’s claim (unless they’ve changed it in the year or so it’s been since I bothered visiting) is “North Dakota’s most influential blog that’s written from the Nodland living room.”

The contention that man-made gases are heating the earth is falling, falling, falling from favor as more scientists understand that the idea is based almost entirely on flawed climate modeling. Kimberly Stossel at WSJ on line gives a great synopsis:

“In April, the Polish Academy of Sciences published a document challenging man-made global warming. In the Czech Republic, where President Vaclav Klaus remains a leading skeptic, today only 11% of the population believes humans play a role. In France, President Nicolas Sarkozy wants to tap Claude Allegre to lead the country’s new ministry of industry and innovation. Twenty years ago Mr. Allegre was among the first to trill about man-made global warming, but the geochemist has since recanted. New Zealand last year elected a new government, which immediately suspended the country’s weeks-old cap-and-trade program.”

From Representative Pomeroy’s website he claims that the reason he is not supporting H.R. 2454 is, “Rep. Earl Pomeroy, D-N.D., is another Ways and Means Democrat that will vote “no” because the emission reduction targets are too strong.  “‘I’m here to represent North Dakota and we only have one guy: me,” he said. “I know how badly the speaker wants this bill, but I have a job to do.’”

It is becoming increasingly evident that this legislation is not going to effect “global warming”. Why is it that no one has the guts (Representative Pomeroy) to yell, “NO, HELL NO” and “STOP”.

Just voting no is hardly fighting for North Dakota. Yelling “STOP” would be. But alas, truly fighting for ND would make Earl Pomeroy a leper in his party of left-wing dominated climate Nazis. True bravery is tough.

If that’s what she’s wearing I’m buying front row tickets.
