Blogs : TRUTH IN LABELING -- THE ND DEMOCRAT PARTY

By:

It is time to give the ND Democrat NPL Party a new, improved and more accurate name. They should be called "North Dakota's Largest Out Of State Special Interest" (NDLOOSSI). Nice because it rhymes. Like, "They are kind of NDLOOSSI Goosey with the facts". Or, "NDLOOSSI spending". It seems that there may be limitless applications for this new and improved designation. Imagine the bright lights and new bold letters in Bismarck on the Kennedy Center! It could be a beautiful thing! And, it would be true.

Earl Pomeroy Has Gotten 96% Of His Campaign Contributions In 2007 From Out Of State

By Rob on October 26, 2007 at 02:03 pm

According to the latest numbers, 512 people have contributed to Earl’s re-election campaign. Of those 512 people, 491 are from out of state.

Meaning 96% of the people donating to Earl’s campaign aren’t even North Dakotans.

So far in 2007 Earl has collected $651,380.00 in campaign donations total, with $640,880.00 coming from out of state sources. That means 98% of Earl Pomeroy’s campaign money didn’t come from North Dakotans.

Now ask yourselves: Who does this guy represent? North Dakotans, or the big-money interests that purchase his way into office every two years?
